My Korean FMT Tele just has the word 'Fender' on the headstock. My Tele was 2016 NOS when I bought it last year for $560. So there is a little bit of guidance. I am not knowledgeable enough to call it either way.

EDIT: My dots are abalone as well.

Yep, in all probability this is a genuine Lite Ash strat. These went for about £500 when new (late 2004). It should have Seymour Duncan APS-1 pickups. The earlier ones had a CBS transition logo.

The logo placement and parts used is all very unusual but looks like the other members are on point with the info here. Great looking Birdseye neck

I used to joke around that with that particular headstock logo the Lite Ash is the legit Fender that looks more "fake" than the "actual fakes". I think that at some point during their run Fender did eventually switch them to a more traditional headstock decal - maybe when production moved from Korea to Indonesia?

    Totally legit!

I've run across these while searching for a tremolo equipped version of my '76 hardtail natural.
