I think Warmouth is licensed to use the Fender headstock and logo, although I'd need to double check on that.

Actually after doing a little digging I don't think they have permission for the logo - just the head stock shape.

When a guitar has highest quality, amazing, and on the planet in the description, it must be good?

Warmoth sells build it yourself guitar parts so this was built by the seller or someone he bought it from. Doesn't mean it's not a good guitar, it looks great, but you don't really know what you're getting. The builder may have been good at it or maybe not so good.

I think it's OK to call an all-Fender partscaster a Fender. But I wouldn't dare call it any particular model based on that mix of parts and would refer to it as a partscaster.
But can a partscaster be a Fender? I say yes. Not that the ad from the OP is a Fender Partscaster. Just the one Fender part - the decal. Like this one too.

Shocked that one image shut the vocal Fender purists down.

If it is a famous partscaster Fender will claim it, and make reproductions, and they will even relic it for you.

    Probably a pretty good player.

    The decals though...

I remember those RR fiberglass hood and grille things for Beetles. Gave you a lot more storage room. But grilles for a radiator on an air cooled engine.

There's also those Bentley grilles for Chrysler 300's. I've even seen Bentley badges on Hyundai sedans. The former is kind of slick, the second is lipstick on a pig.

I just think of the RR grill on the beetle on “Up In Smoke”

Yes. The guitar may be great, but the fake decals put the integrity of the whole thing into question.

That movie always reminds me of that '64 Impala low rider Cheech is driving.

    How'm I driving?

    We're parked man.

Nice looking partscaster. I wouldn't go $900 for it, but somebody might.

From what I’ve read, Fender only switched from swamp ash to alder because they had a supply problem. Minus that supply problem we might all be playing swamp ash Fenders.

Leo designed the Stratocaster for specifically this purpose, so the user can easily swap out parts himself. It may not be a Fender in the Fender Musical Instruments (Inc.) vein but it is a Fender where it matters most, in the soul of the creator. Snob if you like but Leo would approve!
