When the band start to show up in similar proportion, it's time to get a new band...

We played a benefit event for the local homeless shelter for the 5th year in a row on Sunday. I paid Face Book $13 to advertise it for about 10 days. As per their reporting over 800 people saw it. Two friends came one of whom I'm sure didn't see it on Face Book. The attendance this year was very light. It was competing with the Annapolis St. Patrick's day parade.

LOL. I couldn't even get my own family to attend. "Oh, I hear you all the time..."

On the plus side, I have started gaining pity points from the girls at our recitals. "Where's your family? Are you alone? Come sit with us..." I'm working on my basset-hound look. :D

I remember getting a ton of RSVPs for a gig my band had at the Central ( before it was the Viper Room). There was no cover...just a 2 drink minimum.

    4 people showed.

My friend who booked it said
    "Don't you have parents?"
    Me: No. They're dead.
    LOL

For me, it's an exaggeration on both counts. :(
