That's up to them...LOL. If they want me to do it then it will cost about as much as it did to build it.

I used to work at an apartment complex that I lived in during the summers and was in charge of maintaining the pool. for about three weeks the manager would not listen to me when I told him that we needed to completely rebuild the water filtration system and had me keep chemically shocking the pool to kill the algae that was growing in it. That lasted until there was a very irate mother in the office because her daughters hair was permanently died green. The really bad thing about it was that the only way to get the green out of her bleach blonde hair was to cut it off. Even dies would not take to it after that. If we would have left the pool with the algae in it all would have been fine as there wasn't anything toxic in it but just looked nasty.
Long story short, We finally got a new filtration system after the owner of the property was notified "anonymously" about the situation and it wasn't but about two more months that there was a new property manager on staff.

Thank you @Bodean and I think I will take your idea on the double and a half. Mine is going to be bad enough this fall and it's a normal 19x12 without all of the walls and pergola.

Thank you @Bodean All I have left to do is to shadowbox the North wall on the deck and then put the gate up for the cedar fence. The crazy part is that if you look at it from the outside it looks the same as on the inside. So instead of about 90 feet of fencing I have picketed 180 feet.

I finally got the finishing touches put on today.
First the shadowbox on the north wall of the deck
    1526526246212.jpg
    1526526273070.jpg
Now the crazy nosey neighbor can't see when they are out on the deck.
    The gate is finished
    1526527076757.jpg
    1526527109637.jpg
And all of the post caps are on
    1526527152678.jpg
    1526527174045.jpg
Then at night, like the deck, the fence lights up.

    Nice work indeed !

Though, I wouldn't like to live inside this giant wood box of a garden...

Funny how we build our homes differently depending on which part of the planet we are.

Very nice work. Ya done good.

However, it appears you aren't finished. You forgot the razor wire... ;)

I have a crew working on our deck here right now. Yank out the hot tub (which we only used twice in 10 yrs...but it came with the house) and deck over the hole. That will allow me to move my BBQ grill out to the end of the deck, instead of near the house where it sits now. They're cleaning out all the rot (fascia boards, soffits, sill-plates, etc) around the house and putting in new wood. The caulking guy appears to be an artist; nice work. They'll repaint the whole house when they're done. Kinda the same advertising as you got. These guys rebuilt a house down the street and I did the 'nosy neighbor' thing. Their work looked good, fair pricing, ready to go to work...so I contracted with them. They started when they said they would and have been working on it every day since. That's rare in my neck of the woods.:D

At our retirement 'money pit' in Myrtle Beach, SC, we're about to add 8ft to the comparatively tiny deck (which is about 12 x 12) and include a pergola. Basically a complete tear-down and rebuild. No privacy stuff for me. All I want is water plumbed to where I can install a sink. Gotta clean fish somewhere, y'know...
