This was one them triple teles from 2014. I took out the middle pickup, and had even tried her as an esquire for a bit.

I got her that way I want her set up, but she needs a refinish, the black isn’t doing it for me.

I’m thinking Lake Placid Blue with matching headstock.

Here's mine. It's an American Original 60s Tele. Here are a couple of pictures from the day I got it including my son who chose the color (fiesta red). I've since changed the saddles to a compensated brass set from Marc Rutters. Otherwise it's as pictured. Nice and balanced as well at 7 lbs, 6 oz. I love this guitar. It easily gets more play time than any of my others.

    I resisted for many years.
I used to feel that they were "too country" and didn't like the headstock.
I also didn't like them because Neil Geraldo played one and *I* wanted to be the guy bedding Pat Benatar :D
Then I matured... musically at least, and "too country" became less offensive, and I stopped suppressing the fact that Keef plays one and accepted the fact that Page used one for the first albums.

I can definitely relate with the "country only" misconception. I was all into humbuckers, les pauls etc...

But in the past year or so, I've wanted more clarity and you just can't beat a fender for that. So I got into strat but I never managed to really keep one.

Then this tele came up for sale and I said what the hell? To my surprise, these aren't as one dimensional as I thought. And the tele I got has that 4 way wiring so I also have that thick humbucker sound.

So now, I can go from that bright fender tone to near gibson via push pull.

Off-white + matte black also looks really good in my opinion. Nice and clean. IMG_20190410_064714.jpg

Ya, I went with the Baja wiring as well... I've probably done more AC/DC on this new one than I have on my SG

I'm actually contemplating reverting it back to 3 way but with the modded mid setting.

    It would definitely simply things.

My Telecamphor is wired with a 5 position super switch that gives me not only the thick humbucker sound but also parallel ot of phase. On this guitar, I find that I like those 2 settings more than the three standard settings.

That's effectively how the Baja is set up.
The S1 switch just flips the neck, so it only impacts the tone on the middle and 4th positions... in or out of phase in both series or parallel, so there are 5 options instead of 3.
