I just played through two of their tracks without recording. They do a great job. I improvised straight through "Steamroller Blues." On "I Want You Back," I found myself gravitating towards the melody. They backers play with real energy. They're good exercises.

@duzie and I are sharing the same cold rain. I did the mellow one and I couldn't get the right dreamy sound out of my SG. This is the best I got and it ain't much.

@Chipper: check out guitarvoice.com for 100% free backing tracks, I use that site for all of mine whenever I'm not playing on tracks posted here!

I'm still trying to move between minor blues and major scales smoothly. Great fun trying...

@dogletnoir Great smooth free wheeling take. A pleasure listening to. Do you have a small black dog?

This one changes keys right at the end. Took me a while to realize why my playing sounded so funny all of a sudden.

@mjark Great take! This one is fun isn't it? I almost cut mine off too when the backer picked up distortion but I like the key change later, and it was driving me crazy not to hear it right away. Great mood and tone here.

    Thank you, @Chipper!
    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_dog_(ghost)
"Black dogs are generally regarded as sinister or malevolent, and a few... are said to be directly harmful. They may also serve as familiar spirits for witches and warlocks.
Some black dogs, however... are said to behave benevolently. Some, known as guardian black dogs, guide travelers at night onto the right path or guard them from danger."

    Another interpretation:
    black dog
noun used as a metaphor for melancholy or depression
"I'm very happy, but the black dog is there, lurking around the corner."

    And finally:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deglet_Nour
a pun on "The queen of dates"...
    :p

Almost everything about me is multiplex...

Yes didn't Winston Churchill complain about a black dog? I never understood what they were talking about until now. Thank you. Here is one of many links.
