But there is no way I am going to spend that kind of money. I think maybe I will go on ebay and buy some partcaster parts and a headless type bridge, then go after the whole mess with a router.

    Discuss. Ridicule.

Not silly at all. I've been wanting a Kiesel Vader for awhile now.

Kiesel Vader. I will have one with 3 single coils please.

unless you are in Europe then

    boden Strandberg Classic

I think both are legit. I went to the Kiesel showroom in Escondido a few years ago and played some Vaders they are the real deal, they play really great Carvin/Kiesel know how to setup their guitars for optimal playability. I have a friend who has a Strandberg and the neck really is cool. I think both are similarly forward thinking.

    NICE!

    yes you do.

    So...

Here is a little something to consider...

I recently had a buddy that really liked my strandberg. he went on Ebay and bought a guitar called "NK CUSTOM" its chinese. its headless. its not a copy of an existing design, but more or less their own design.

he bought it. 300 CDN including shipping and taxes. not bad, must be junk?

He got it. it was brutal out of the box. but after new strings and a set up, it plays great, sounds great, has a few minor issues. neck pocket is too wide and kinda sloppy, but nothing worse than a 70s fender, and the frets were not polished, they were rough as hell. fixed that up in about an hour.

awesome feeling guitar for the price. the best part is. ITS NOT A COPY.

    something to consider...
