Honestly, I can't imagine what difference there could be in these for $500, and hand wound sets by other, even boutique, makers that are only $250-$300. Klein, Lollar, David Allen and others.

Does anyone know what that difference would be other than being wound by Abby?

I can't find myself thinking that's worth it.

One good friend of mine has an amazing strat CS 59 reissue. This is one of the expensive ones (around $5,000) and it has Josefina Campos pups. They sound awesome for sure and playing that guitar is a great experience, but the pups to me are no different in quality than lollars, fralin or d' allens. They are in the same league to my ears.

The amp, and effects being used makes a lot of difference. I don't think they sound all the much better than the 57/62 set that came in my 2012 CP50. But sound evaluation from the internet has it's limitations.

Well the Abby initialed set that I have (yes I know she didn’t wind them)
Sound better than anything I’ve personally heard to date.

And the workers at GC when they heard the tech testing the guitar all came by one by one to see what guitat he was playing.

Even me when I heard someone else play my guitar I was really a stoked by what I heard.

Maybe it’s mojo or maybe it’s not.

But at the end of the day
I would like to give a set a try
Maybe not this set though. .

    I think if I am
Going to do a nice special build
I would want something really nice and somewhat signature like
    In the guitar

    Hand wound?

They are all wound on a machine aren't they?

Does it really matter who feeds in the wire?

It's either lick the battery or lick the windows. Nothing much else to do around here...

I'd prefer the battery then, unless you live by the coast and need the salt.

    This does not compute.

    Still does not compute.

I guess if you are Fender, you might as well throw something out there and see if anybody bites.

    Now six times. And.............

Like her Fat 50’s set a lot. But they are in my best favorite guitar also. And Fender gave them to me free so I can’t complain....
