I for one am a big fan of the CS ‘69 I’ve got in the neck position of my #1 Strat - not even an Abby sig either. I decided on it after hearing enough demos and blind tests of different pickups to trust my choice. I wasn’t wondering how a particular pickup sounded- I looked for a sound and when I found it, always turned out to be the CS69 in the neck position. (Or a late 60’s Strat - which is unfortunately beyond my budget.)

In the bridge, wasn’t as fussy about it, so went with a Dimarzio Area 61 humbucker to be quieter when I put on OD. Very happy with that choice.

Usually I play clean and neck, or OD and bridge.

So there you go, ‘horses for courses.‘

Haven’t heard the Josfina 65s so cant comment on those, but I think I’ll see what I can find just out of curiosity.

Just goes to show we all hear and like different things. I have a set of those and think they're as good as any strat pickup I've played.

They were not in the original guitar. I liked them okay, they just didn't do as much for me as the pickups in my other CS guitars.

    Hi folks

I don't like the 69' and ancho poblano's throaty midrange character, they weren't for me. The Ancho's are all over the place in all new postmoderns and others as well. I'm sure they'll be great for someone else.

So I decided to go with a different strat, a CS 1959 with hand wound 50's.

Thank you all for your comments!
