    Hi,
have an offer for a JV 62-85 for a reasonable price here in Europe.
To me everything looks legit so far. Will get better and more pics.
Its a later version with "made in japan " on the neck and not on the headstock and the verion with the custom (name) brass neck plate...

Do you agree that it looks legit?
The giveaway for a 62-85 (from the pics) is the B Stamp and the shielded pickguard, right?
Would the "made in Japan" on the neck and the brass neck plate without the JV serial mean a drop on the market value?

    Thanks

All looks fine to me. I can’t get enough definition on the pickups picture to be 100% but the solders look original. A ‘B’ stamp would usually indicate an ‘85’ model with a nitro finish. As to value, I don’t think there would be much effect on value. Although ‘85’ models with named neck plates aren’t often seen so it’s hard to compare.

Thanks. What would you value you it here in Europe?

Tough one, I haven’t seen that many of these for sale recently. In the UK I expect it would sell for £1000-£1200.
