You know, if it was a 100+ pound dog or something, I'd get it but it's a squirrel. What is the harm? Charge him an animal deposit, make sure it's vet cleared for diseases, and move along.

I just pictured that squirrel dragging that guy up a tree.

    Yes, yes they (we) do.
I believe the phrase is termed 'Arbitrary and Capricious'

    Almost heaven
We had a neighbor at our first apartment who brought home a baby groundhog he'd found on a jobsite. The last I remember hearing about it, it had burrowed into the back of his couch and was refusing to come out.

My daughter brought home a baby squirrel that was at her sorority house parking lot. My wife bottle fed it and became the surrogate mother. It loved her and hated me. "Nutsy" would play with her and attack me. Nutsy stayed with us all winter in NH in a large cage with a branch. My wife would let it run loose in the house when I wasn't there and the cats were in the basement. My ported subwoofer developed a rattling sound. I opened it up and discovered Nutsy's stash. We let him go into the 200 acre wood behind us in the spring. He came back to visit a couple of times when my wife was outside and then became totally wild once again.

We've fostered kittens, puppies, a rabbit and Nutsy the squirrel.
