Im in the process of wiring my 93 Les Paul standard after refinishing. When i plugged it in for the first time i got no sound at all. I think i have narrowed it down to a jack problem. Can someone please tell me what is wrong here?

Its too hard to tell from pictures. but if you measure resistance across the tip and barrel of a cord plugged in, at full volume it should read the resistance of your pickup approx., like 7k or whatever, If you read something very high or very low instead, it tells you if you have a broken or missing connection, or a short circuit.
