:whistling:Not taking the mickey or offering an opinion, but can one of you American chaps tell me what is your national fascination with pickups, or I believe "trucks" in your language?

Do you ever put things in the back?

I do haul stuff in my truck. Most of it I could get in the back of even a small hatchback. My bud that went with me to the star party drives a Prius and can get damn near as much as I can in his car.

But, when it comes to hauling dirty stuff, like landscaping items, I wouldn't want those on the carpet of a car.

I use to use my trucks for hauling brush, junk to the landfill, and such. But I gave that up and my trucks are too nice for that kind of hauling. :whistling:

So, yeah, it is getting less and less mandatory for me to have a truck. I may get a Prius someday or similar car. It is nice to have the huge mileage range on a single tank of fuel. My bud can drive 400+ miles on a tank of gas, I can get just under 300 miles. Plus we can drive his car around all day for about $6, mine would be nearly $40. About time for me to change my thinking.

And a shot of my truck.

I got a camper shell for it, to help keep gear dry on long trips.

Well being single has its advantages.

I have a 64 1/2 Mustang convertible for taking to the classic shows.
I have my 2015 Mustang GT 5.0 for trolling the streets and the drags.
I have my 2017 Kia Sorento LX as a daily driver and winter. Its AWD.

I hope that whomever posted this pic on the web doesn't mind me borrowing it. This is just like my ride except that mine has a sunroof.

Don't know about any one else, but my Dakota + trailers haul everything from livestock and horses to lumber for the ranch I live on. I think a lot of others pretend that's what they do with it. Also haul airplane parts for my business and Car parts for hobby stuff.

But my daily driver is a car: 1004171622.jpg

    My house.
I cant speak for others. I haul hay for our livestock on a regular basis.

Very handy for other utility purposes.

Considered selling it but I would have to borrow a truck frequently to haul all sorts of stuff.

I don't know about a national facination, but I have trucks and vans and use to work and haul things. Are there no trucks anywhere else in the world?

If you spend your entire existence on pavement, trucks make less sense. But some of us like to play outside of the lines sometimes.
