    Actually, it's even cheaper with member discount on audio.deluxe.com. Cost me just over £19, which is just stupid cheap!

    I can remember walking into TMC Studios in South London some time around 1982 and there was the remote for a Lexicon 224. Although I sold pro audio gear, this was way out of my league, so it was the first time I'd encountered one. Pete Hammond, who was the chief engineer there, took me through what it could do and I was totally blown away. Until then, the only reverb unit the studio had was an AKG plate that Pete had modified for stereo. It was great, but it sounded like what it was, for the most part.

    The Lexicon could recreate acoustic spaces, like gymnasiums and arenas. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd ever own anything like that. By the time Lexicon brought the 480L out, it was out of reach for even a lot of commercial studios. I was writing for audio mags by then and got to play with it a fair bit.

    Happy days. :thumb::thumb::thumb:

    That's very pretty. I had my bass round my neck, so I played along!

    I don't usually do the challenges anymore, but Chuck (Offshore Angler) put up a few that moved me. And I know Roger Pennywhistle thinks I'm all talk and no play, so I thought I'd rub his wee little nose in some tunes . lol

    Sadly, even the 224 remote can sell for $600, which gives us some idea how far ahead of its time this unit was. I've seen the complete system sell for almost $3,000, and they're hard to find.
