Large headstock used to bother me, strange given the influence Hendrix had on me. But, Clapton was a huge influence as well..and his guitar had a small headstock. My first Strat had the small one.

Now, I really dont care. I'm happy to be able to afford having a guitar or 5. Color is actually more important now than the headstock size.

If the body is a boat anchor, the large headstock won't unbalance it. Neck diving is a pain I couldn't be doing with. I did my time with bighead bullet necks when I was much, much younger.

The bigger the headstock the more hair you need on your head; which includes either an afro, sideburns or a 'stache with handlebars... :p

I need the ponytail down my back and my whiskers to balance the small headstock :p

No rhyme or reason, but I like the small head stock on my Strats and the big one on my Mustangs . Go figure.

I prefer small, but not to an extent that I'd turn down an otherwise perfect for me guitar for having a large one. It's just a preference, and not one that can't be overridden by other factors, since I don't actually HATE the larger headstock.

Don't make me have to come over there and sic my Welsh in-laws on you..............:D:D

I don't mean to claim to be the authority on these matters but you are all wrong.

It's this one (color and all)[IMG]
