Whipping Post or really an Allman Brothers song is better live
Anything on Thin Lizzy's "Live and Dangerous".
All the live versions on the Eagles Hell Freezes Over. I use that album as a source for tuning up my stereo.
Too bad I can only like this once
All Rush songs.
Satriani " Summer Song ".
Any live version of Jimi's 'I don't live today' is better IMO than the version on Are You Experienced. I just has that edge live that the studio just doesn't capture.
I can't listen to Heroin any more. Me and a mate used love Velvet Underground, but somewhat stupidly got involved with heroin, and I made it to here and he didn't.
I have BB King Live at Cook County Jail and its fantastic. I still havent got live at the regal.
When I was a teen I tended to prefer live albums cause they jammed more back in those days. And the songs sounded BIGGER too. Rather than name songs, Ill just list the albums that MADE ME WHAT I AM TODAY!
The Song Remains the Same
Frampton Comes Alive
On Your Feet or On Your Knees
Band of Gypsys
Thanks, it's over 30 years ago now. Time just flies by....
Still sux tho.
My wifes best friend died from ecstasy at a party at 19 years old. Its a sad waste.
Yes, that's equally tragic and terrible. I've told my boy's that if they get into anything like that, they've got to tell me straight away, although I know the signs instantly, but they don't know I do. Such a waste of life, just to make a**hole's rich from the misery of many.
I'm so sorry. I have always found the lyrics disturbing, and torally understand that you can't listen to it anymore.
Don't worry Andrea, it's fine . it's a very visual song. He was a great writer Lou Reed. I think I can't listen to it for the same reason I can't watch something like Trainspotting, or Christiana F. Probably not based so much on my friends death, but more about how close I came, that really scares me, even now.
OP, sorry for the thread hijacking!
Pretty much everything Grateful Dead. I can't think of a single song or album that isn't better live (excluding the live albums of course).
Only Pt. 2 and without Peter Gabriel's theatrics.... music synchronized with the video!!
anything off of this
