So many great amps on this thread. Sad to see so many names that have come and gone. Especially the ones before my time that was the old guard when I signed up.

I know your post is over a year old, but those are fine amps for sure if, like you say, you know how to use them. More than a little obscure, though. My JTM60 head is a very early one and is a little different than any other one I've seen. I do use it on a regular basis. I play it though a 1960 Lead cab.

My '08 1974X. Surprise gift from the wife. Replaced the power tranny this year with a GDS. One volume, one tone is all I need. Posing with my '90 '62RI.

    Here
I'm not a Marshall owner at present, which is a rare thing since, like, the eighties. I have no use for one right now but if I could have anything it'd probably be a 1974 RI.

My collection has grown by one.
    The bottom 2 are: JTM 30 1x12, JTM 60 1x12.
The new one on top is a JTM 30 2x10.
All have been cured of the overheating issue.
All biases have been lowered (the source of the problem. They came biased too high from the factory!!)
All have new trannys ( another problem... factory trannys were too small!)
    They absolutely smoke!!!

i finally get to join the marshall club. alot of people bash the jcm900 4100 DR but this is a killer amp. and i already know its reliable because i ran it hard for many years. my old singer had it at his place just sitting there for almost 20 years......never even turned it on.

Recent member as well, DSL-40C. I had a JTM-60 years ago, but never bonded with it (it wasn't the amp, it was me).

DSL-40C is my all time favorite small size Marshall. It fits everywhere and it delivers that power sound you need, for home, for practice and for gigs.
