It would've been a great April's fool joke, "We gave up on trying to satisfy your needs with all these color variations and different wood options. This is it! Enough is enough!!"

No, it's real. You can buy it downloadfile-8.gif

Notice how they tried to camouflage it by posing it with barn wood. ;)

I like it but wished it had better matching wood grain!

Looks like an easy refinish opportunity to me.

I'd like one with a rosewood board and body wood picked out by not Ray Charles.

Yeah, it looks kind of nude. I want to cover it up with some Dakota red.

It's definitely a fire wood "solid colour" body. They should use nice looking ones for sunburst and natural finish.

I'm guessing that they had a pile of spare bits they didn't know what to do with. It reminds me of the series they made a few years ago they called Duo Tone.

One with wings of ash and center p alder and the other was reverse. This was actually a Custom Shop series believe it or not. :D

Some were sunburst so you could see the mismatched woods but the rest were solid colors like Sherwood green and Fiesta Red. I tried a sunburst, it played great actually.

Pic is from Fender Custom Shop, they tried to sell it as the best of two worlds. 50s meet the 60s haha

    I would play that.

If you ever got bored with it, you have a blank slate.

It amazes me how you cats over in Europe know more about Fender than anybody.
Of course, I was in Germany in 1961, the first time I ever saw a Strat. o_O

Yes I understand that. But how would Little Stevie Wonder know that?

The problem is the terribly mismatched body. Other than that, I like the concept.
