    At least the grain is running the other way. I like the guitar, but agree that they should have made the pieces match better.

    On the other hand, if they used a nicely matched one for the ad, then customers getting less well matched ones would cry foul.

    Good to know that was a Custom Shop option. I kind of like the alternating woods theme.

    I'm surprised so many of you like this look, to me the issue isn't the mismatched body but how pale and bland it is. The raw body together with the covered pickup poles, just looks naked.

    That and the stark white pickguard and pickup covers.

    That laminated pickguard is too flashy. Needs to be 1-layer white.

    Horrible mismatch on the body pieces. Looks like a cheap cutting board
