    Hi,

I would like to put a 2017 MIM Standard Stratocaster Neck on a 2019 American Professional Stratocaster Body. Does anyone know if this would cause any issues?

Ditto - Fender = Lego for musicians :D
Where you'll encounter issues is Strat necks on Tele bodies and Tele necks on Strat bodies.
The Strat neck will physically fit the Tele pocket, but there will, be gaps in the corners (that will be hidden if you go with a 22 fret neck).
The Tele neck will not physically fit the Strat pocket without taking a chisel to square off the corners of the pocket.

Just curious. Do you not like the American pro neck?

I love the neck. I am dog sitting for a friend who is very ill and I did not put him in his cage when I left and I guess he got scared of being in a strange place so he chewed on the neck of the strat I had laying out on the coffee table. A new American neck cost almost 500 bucks and the spare MIM neck I have is wonderful so I figured I would put that one on as long as there wouldn’t be any issues.

Oh man. Sorry for your loss. It’s a plus that you have a neck you really like to replace it with though.

Yes. Now I know what all that Lego as a child was really preparing me for. It was meant to be!

Well be carefull when joining them together! The difference in polarity might be a problem.

At best a mild shock, at worst the neck bursts into flame.

Not as dangerous as putting a Squier neck on an MIA. Those can tear the fabric of space time resulting in a black hole that eventually swallows the universe. Sort of like dividing by 0.

While the neck will most likely bolt up to the body without too many problems, just be prepared if it doesn’t match up perfectly and may require some minor shimming to straighten things out - otherwise you shouldn’t encounter any major difficulties...

    Good Luck!

Once you've finished you'll have to slap a sticker on it that says "This Machine Kills Cork-Sniffers".

Not true. I've done it dozens of times. Holes line up fine for mounting. :)

I’ve got a custom shop neck on a MIM body.
