Hi all, does this look legit? 1515733732983.jpg 1515733741068.jpg 1515733745891.jpg

Didn't realize MIM models came with truss rod adj at the heal.

I am tempted to get it at the 350$ Canadian asking price

It seems to serve no purpose at all!
Based on those few pics, it looks like a 60s style Strat.

    Yeah that made me laugh.

Anyway OP it looks like a Classic Series 60s Strat to me. The neck definitely is and the rest looks ok from what I can see but if you want to be a little more certain check the bridge screw spacing, it should be a full block bridge with vintage 2 7/32" screw spacing. It's a steal for $350 Canadian, I would jump on that if I were you.

You can see it's 2 7/32" vintge spacing by looking just by looking at the strings over the pickups and the 21st fret. Good price and will probably sound better when the strings are under the tree where theyre supposed to be.

you may be overthinking it. Not much point, faking a MIM guitar.
The Classic 60's series strats look just like that, are very nice, and worth every bit of $350.

Think of it as a string "guide".

I agree you are over thinking it. It's clearly a 2000 classic series 60s. Nothing suspicious at all. Won't last long at 350

I actually saw my first fake made in Mexico a couple of weeks ago on Ebay, it was a Squier or some similar Chinese import with a badly done MIM serial number and decals. It was pretty obviously fake. I wish I hadn't deleted it from my watch list so I could post it here since it's rare to see a faked MIM. The guitar OP posted is definitely legit though.

You snooze you lose. At that price it wasn't going to last long, I would have bought it as soon as I saw it. You could have flipped it whole and made a quick couple hundred or broken it down into parts and made even more on Ebay.

It was quite a distance from me so I was unable to get there during the week.
