Here is The Big Giant Head's pic for this week. Funky Floyd. Hope you dig it.
Cool take @Mellencaster - You caught the vibe just right
A little mellow stuff for this Sunday morning ...
I like this groove.
@Mellencaster Very cool vibe and tone. What did you use?
@TheDuck You took that in a direction I was not expecting, but it was great. Did you slow the tempo a bit?
Dear Big Giant Head,
This track was duly submitted to the evaluation panel (aka the Bits) and was accordingly granted Category 3 status. They are now so soundly asleep that I have no idea how I'm going to wake them.
Dear Mr. Bit,
I apologize for any inconvenience caused by this seemingly incapacitating sleep paralysis.
Have you tried reading dirty limericks to stir them?
The Big Giant Head.
Cool takes @Ebidis
I like the first one, if I had to choose. You worked that tone in a very Gilmourish way, while keeping it your own. Really good!
I didn't slow the track, though I did drop it a half step. My Strat lives at Eb these days. Its a different beast at Eb, and I cant go back to standard tuning.
I also added a rhythm guitar, based on the Shine On intro tone. Its modulation is a bit heavy at times, as its still in the testing phase.
OK, I knew you did something different. Your guitar sound was HUGE by the way.
Thanks. I based that preset on Gilmours Live at Gdansk lead tone. Not sure how close I am, but it seems to work.
@TheDuck Sounds sweet Duck .Whole different track and sounds good too , did you change the pitch?
@Ebidis Only a rock player would say that's clean but I understand what you meant
Both were very cool tracks and a sweet tone but I'm not saying which one
I did two tracks, one with my new Strat and my SG copy .I chose the SG one for here and other one was just too bright with the flanger that I used
I lowered the pitch of the track a half step. I love the feel of my Strat tuned to Eb so much that I cant go back to standard tuning. I also added a modulating rhythm guitar.
Hey, I said fairly clean.
What SG copy is it? It sounded really good.
I kind of got lost in the mix here I think.
It’s funny how much different it sounds on my monitor as opposed to headphones.
Then again I have no clue what I’m doing
Modded Jay Turser J-50 , of all my guitars and the cheap price I paid for it , I value it way more than it's worth.
Pretty killer duzie. Totally laid back. Lots of space, and very tasteful licks.
duzie A really sweet and a very tasteful played track Duzie.
