5 tubes, 50 watts, safe/user friendly bias adjustment, 8 or 4 ohms - still pumps 50 watts either load, no speaker load needed for recording/direct out/etc.

Post pre or post tranny out options. Inputs for both passive or active instruments.

It's a very loud 50 watts, but if I need more than 50 Watts I can run post preamp or post tranny out into my Rumble 500 head's effects return. Again, no speaker load required on the Ampeg.

Anyone that has been on the fence on this PF-50T or the PF-20T, MF has 15℅ off plus Ampeg is offering mail-in rebates on Portaflex amps and cabinets until the end of June. I'm getting $150 back on my model.

I went with AMS for my purchase. They would not price match MF but did knock $75 off. Still a $60 difference in price but AMS offers a 1 year free extended warranty which MF doesn't. So that's why I went with AMS.

These heads are built like tanks and sound fantastic :)

I've tried these configurations with both amps running.
(Using the term wet to indicate modulation effects active)
    - 1 amp wet 1 amp dry
    - 1 amp wet 1 amp dirty (blah)
    - 1 amp dirty 1 amp clean
    - both amps dirty
    - both amps clean

Good to see you like them! I picked up a PF20 shortly after you got your first one. I'm very happy with it..

    Happy Stereo Ampeg Day?

    Congrats on the 20T !

I'm not sure I'd call it true stereo. But it sure does that a lot of versatility.

The the way I had them set up in the first photo did not work out at all. Those were end tables turned around backwards I had the heads on. One of them rattled no matter what I did. I checked it out and everything was solid but it just wasn't to be.

Now I have them set up like this

    0623171442a.jpg

The work platforms get the cabs 13 inches off of floor. They don't rattle but I'm still going to put a neoprene rubber mat between the cabs and platforms as well as a mat under the feet of the platforms.

I'm guessing any small venues I plan on playing I'll have to stack the cabs.

Very nice. Why would you need more than 50 watts? Are you gonna be playing Madison Square Garden soon? :D:p

Well over on TalkBass the consensus is you need 300 watts minimum.:D

But if 100 Watts isn't enough I'm in the wrong band.

You don't even need 50 watts to play MSG. Hugh MacDonald (Jon Bonjovi) has been sans amp for some time now. :thumb:

    Update

    Added two more cabs.

    1118171111.jpg
They are noticeably louder then the two cab rig.

Over on TalkBass there seems to be this Ampeg vs. Fender thing. So I'm getting poked in the ribs from both camps :p

That's okay though. The Rumble 112 cabs sound to fine to my ears. And the classic look is gorgeous.
