Well. I finally got my personal grail tone amp. The mesa boogie mark V...

Let me say, it is everything I could have ever hoped and dreamed it would be.

The options are plentiful, and they are all very useful. The tones you can tweak out of this thing are endless and I can say this amp can hang in any situation with any genre. it goes from fender pristine cleans, to super hot fender tweed, to edge of breakup black face, marshall crunch, sludge (doom) metal, to the most classic sustaining drive, to a little heavier classic sustaining drive to the be all end all High gain.

I cant get over how great this amp sounds, how well it responds to your hands, and it frankly makes all my guitars sound just a little better. but the big kicker. it makes my playing tighter. I can hear so many new harmonics to my ears and just a depth to the tone that I have never really felt before. it makes me want to play clean and tight

Again, I am freaking out a little bit over here. I have gained (no pun intended) my personal grail set up. I dont know how I will feel about this in a month when I find my self not searching for gear anymore.. but I am ok with that...

Join me in welcoming this beauty to its new home, where it will get used daily and used hard 3 times a week.

NICE!!!!! It's such a great feeling when you get that Grail Amp. I felt the same in May when I got mine but it did feel a bit weird not to be constantly looking at amps anymore. Enjoy that awesome beast!

I truly believe the Mark V is Mesa's Flagship of all their flagship amps. The culmination of all things Mesa over the decades.

If it can't be done on a Mark V.... it just can't be done.

Maybe one, if not "the" most versatile amplifiers made today, or maybe ever.

I have not plugged into one of the new ones yet, but I did hear a very good player, in person, coaxing out every conceivable tone I could ever imagine needing.

He even dialed up a setting that sounded like a Mesa LoneStar Classic, which is in my opinion the best sounding clean amp I have ever heard. And I have had a couple of those amps.

You have indeed reached the mountain top with that beast!

its the be all end all amp for me. I cant say enough good things about it. I really wish everyone could just take one for a walk and see what they can do with them.

so far the gain is so thick and awesome, but I have to say that the Edge setting that reminds me of a really hot blackface fender is something I could play on for hours. so dynamic and responsive.. its just a head expander

i have, and I agree, the MKV is the end all be all of amps. Nothing else comes close.

I had considered the mini MKV, but these days volume is a major concern, so I opted for all digital.
If I had a place to unleash the beast and let it roar, I would have grabbed a MKV, without hesitation.

I got it's baby brother a few months ago...the Mark V-35. Incredibly versatile amps. Takes a bit to dial in but when you're there it's the holy grail of tone.

Tons of congratulations! Welcome to the club! It is also the holy grail of tone for me. You can get from nice, clean jazz sounds to death metal. You just have to figure out how Mesa amps work (the manual is a must), but it´s not that hard.

    Keep rocking

Sorry, no excuses! The mini MKVs (25 and 35) have CabClone DI, and you can tweak the master levels to bedroom ecstasy.
