    Hi!
Does anyone know what this stamp means?
    It's a Malmsteen 1988 stratocaster.
I have two of these, but haven't checked the other one.
As you can see the neck is stamped "gastelum" as in Herbie Gastellum, sep 18 1988, and "cobra"(?) whatever that is?

But the questions is the stamp on the body.
    FNL?
    OP-40

So if anyone knows what this is, feel free ;)

Is there a definitive source for Strat neck pockets? It would be nice to know what is suppose to be under there.

Ha ha ha ha ...... Gastellum ???? As in Herb Gastellum , master
builder , with fender since the 50's .

Is that fine with you pal ?

Nice score . Although the cobra Stamp I've never seen .
Lots of random stamps and outside fender , usually unknown .

    Yes, the same.
No big secret that he and other "CS" dudes made these guitars during the first year.
The otherone I have is also a Gastelum.
Both are amazing, great pieces of wood and great sustain and sound.

But, this is about the stamps in the body.
They will surely continue to sound amazing no matter what the stamps mean.
But its fun to know :)
