I'm sure most of you guys are on the Fender e-mail list. Have you looked at the new Limited Edition Meteora? I got excited to see it, but then clicked on the link and wasn't too keen on what I saw. It might be okay in a different color, but for me, I didn't like the look at all. And for $1,999, I'd rather get a killer Strat.

I'm curious what everyone else thinks.

I think its cool but i think it needed P-90s to really make it badass. It I like the block inlays and think they are a cool concept for Fender. With that said though i think the inlays would look more amazing on a roasted maple neck or a birdseye maple. It's pretty much a tele with a different body and strat neck with inlays.

Agree about the color and inlays. Tele knobs spaced differently. I didn’t like it till I saw and heard it being played.

I will admit I do like the neck and the inlays but the body reminds me of a rounded off Explorer.

That's what happens when you take MDMA and play with the CnC machine.

It looks better in person than in pictures. That being said it's like saying a turd sandwich looks better if you are hungry than if you aren't. Or something like that

I like strange shaped guitars , but the neck look doesn't quite do it for me rather see a darker neck on it, as someone suggested in the video comments the starcaster reverse headstock would look cool on it. Did you notice in the video the guitar sticking out of the Marshall cab

To me, it's an odd looking and expensive Telecaster. I don't see any advantage to getting one, since I have a Telecaster already.

I like it. The body shape has something of a Gibson Explorer? I think a Telecaster headstock shape would suit it better though.

I dig it, but I would prefer CAR with rosewood and block inlays, with P-90s. Just throwin that out there, Fender.

Agreed. This is really just a Tele with a funky body style. Meh. I have a Tele already.
Change it up, make it really badass, Fender.
