New partscaster, I shall call it Pistachio

    Just got this one together tonight. Squier Vintage Modified body that's had a rattle can refin. I'm guessing they were trying for Surf Green but it's far more pastel in nature, thus the name Pistachio. It looks like Pistachio ice cream. Mint green guard, Fender Pure Vintage 65 pickups and a neck I've had for years on many different guitars. Nice soft V to it but no idea who made it. Not Fender I'm sure. It still neds some settling and tweaking but I'm pretty darn happy with how this turned out. Going to have to try the coffee stain trick on that trem bar tip.

    I love me some Pistachio ice cream. I love most all kinds of ice cream, except cookie dough. That stuff will give you worms. :(

    I’d heard good things about these pickups and I’m not disappointed. I find there’s more of a difference from positions 1-5 than most other strat pickups I’ve tried and I’ve been through a few sets. :cool: That’s not saying they’re the absolute best ever but I do like having a definite distinction between settings.
