Hi everyone! I'm Matt from San Diego. I've been playing guitar for about 40 years. Played in a few bands back in high school, but mostly play at home for fun. I had a MIJ Squire strat that was a great player 20 some years ago. I stupidly sold it to get an Ibanez. Then later on I had a couple of partscasters that I made. I don't normally brag, but I went from a pretty bad guitar tech, to a pretty good one--for a hobbyist anyway. I have bought, fixed and sold many guitars over the last ten years or so. I had one strat in particular that was really nice based on a highway one body. But as much as I tried, I never bonded with it. I figured maybe I'm not a strat guy. My main guitars have been my tele partscaster and my Les Paul Faded T. Anyway, I found a USA made Peavey Predator on eBay and bought it to flip. After cleaning it and setting it up I just can't put it down! It's not going anywhere. In fact, I ordered a set of Rose pickups and when they arrive I am going to wire them up with a blender pot. So I guess I'm a strat guy after all. Now I'll keep my eyes open for a legit Stratocaster. I have really enjoyed this forum and the friendly knowledgeable members!
