Those stripped down SG's/Specials look better with dots.
I have owned many guitars over the years and mostly LP style guitars. In the last 2 years I have tried to widen that by trying new things which led me to own 3 partscasters. Recently I traded a Squier Classic vibe telecaster for my first SG, it's a Epiphone but I was so impressed with how it felt and the neck carve is probably one of the best (feeling to me) I have ever touched. I immediately started a build to see if I could re-create that magic but with finer details. I don't know why I didn't try a SG sooner in life, I really like the shape, weight, and fret access.
The right SG has that wow effect on people. No stickers needed
Sweet, definitely no on the stickers. Does the neck dive when standing up? I’ve had two sgs. While I loved the sound and the lightweight I could never get along with the neck dive and how the fretboard got really wide around the 12th fret.
No, it does not seem to dive. My only concern was dropping it as one of the strap buttons is on the back instead of the side, so I installed strap locks.
+1 strap locks. 1rst mod wtg!
Congrats and keep the headstock in the air for sure.
