I'm thrilled to have lucked into something I’ve been wanting for quite a while. This 2004 50th Anniversary American Stratocaster is old stock but absolutely brand new in the OHSC. The pickguard, backplate and latches on the case are still covered in protective plastics. All contents in the kit are unopened including the never installed tremolo arm. The sticker that holds the spring is still in place. 2004 is the year I got married so this guitar is doubly special and “wife approved”. Tonight I’ll change the strings and set it up proper. It will sit in a case no more!

That is awesome! Congrats. Was it actually at a dealer or how did you find it?

Congrats on new guitar....we had a discussion regarding this model recently here and I think the consensus was that this is one of Fender's best kept secrets.... enjoy....

here is a pic of my lefty:

I've always wondered why Fender adds a right hand trem bar along with the lefty bar to new left handed guitars????

A dealer set it aside when it was new and a guy I’ve bought from before picked it up as part of a multi-guitar purchase, then traded it for one of mine.

I probably lost some in the transaction but really don’t mind I love this thing. : )

Great score, congrats. That's a real beauty. I love that classic, vintage two tone sunburst look.
