The gusting winds and falling ash took a short break this L.A. afternoon, so I ran outside and snapped a few pics of this Strat that found it's way to me yesterday. In the 15 minutes or so I've had it in my hands, dare I say it has become my favorite guitar. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the rosewood neck, but it feels like butter and is an absolute joy to play.

Oh man, that is THE bomb. HNGD!! I love Rosewood necks, and having one made entirely of it is a dream.

I bought one of these a few weeks ago. Awesome huh? I love the bridge pick up. The neck is way better than I expected.

    HNGD!

Funny and I'm not kidding, I haven't spent 10 seconds on the bridge yet. :) I WILL, promise!! I spent my only time with it on the neck comparing to texas specials and 57/62s. Waiting for appropriate moment to plug in and play proper.

Yes, though, LOVE this thing! Congrats on yours!

Great pictures BTW. Yeah for me I get on that bridge pick up, roll down the tone a bit and it has a very midrangy voice that I really like. I have always been a fan of the 57/62 pickups, but these are a different animal all together. I think the guitar is very well rounded and can perform well in many different genres.

    Again, congratz and enjoy.

PS I have heard these are a pretty small production for GC only. When I got mine a few weeks ago they said they had 23 in the warehouse. I'm not really sure what production numbers are but it sounds pretty small.

You guys think?? Mint? I really like the way the pick guard make the p/u covers and tone knobs etc 'pop'. Curious though....

I may be able to find out exactly how many were or are being made. If I do find out I'll let you know. :)

Last fall I wandered into a little mom and pop music store in upstate NY. Obvious fake, but sonic blue, rosewood neck and mint guard. I ALMOST bought it any way-- too beautiful.

I too purchased one of these beauts the other week. The neck with a nice bit of oil on there feels better than the leather on an exotic car View attachment 258189
