Incredible P90 player. Built just like the Classics but no weight relief, solid Mahogany body 10.2 lbs of glory. Plays and sounds like a dream, and this one was built right, way to go Gibson! Came with tan Gibson hardshell and all the goodies. Set-up is almost perfect out of the box. Fret work is immaculate. I'm in love with this thing.

    Thanks y'all!

It's been a few years since I played a Lester this heavy, with a solid mahogany back but it is weighted and balanced so well it feels right. Although I just got it and have not played a full set with it yet, I think I'm still sturdy enough to handle it. :D

And these p90's sing like a bird in it. The sustain is really nice.

The clean tones are deep and clear but they also have teeth and growl when you wind 'em up! :)

I think I am finally going to be able to have a long-term relationship with p90s. This thing is perfect.

And it came with the fret nibs on the neck binding!

Oh that is a gorgeous guitar!!!

P90's rule!! Single coil chime and brightness with humbucker punch!

Glad to hear Gibson got their shizz together on this one with the build quality.

I just fed it into the Friedman @Robins at full stage volume.

Holy smokes that thing will reach out and shake you silly! But backs down with the guitar knobs like a good Tele. cleans up real well.

Thank you everybody for the nice comments. It is one of the nicest guitars I've ever owned.

Musicians Friend has this one on sale for $ 1,399.00, I think they first street priced at $1999.99.

Nice one - I really like the top on it yours.

Yes, they originally had a street price/MAP of $1,999 - but I think they might have even gone up $100 or so after they had been out for a while. I think Gibson is doing their best effort to clear all the 2018s out of the pipeline before the Winter NAMM 2019s come out next month - at least I think those models are due out in April; it might be May.

Well I spent this evening dialing it in.

All it took was to put my brand of strings on and slightly adjust the intonation. Now it plays perfect pitch on notes all over the neck/frets.

If any of you are after a P90 Les Paul, and not a Special (flat top), I would highly encourage you to pick one of these up while they are still available on sale at $ 1399.00. It's worth every penny. And has restored my faith in Gibson going forward.

If they continue to concentrate on making guitars like this, the glory years, and respect will be back in no time.

    It's that good.

Straight up, it is one of best sounding, playing, well built Gibsons I have ever played. And I am extremely picky when a guitar exceeds a Grand.

The nut is cut with perfect precision, has a big, rounded C neck that is totally stable. Stays in tune, and with the satin Nitro, there is no stickiness at all on the neck. And the p90's are amazing in this shell. The flame top looks different from every angle, catch it in the right light and position and it is stunning. I am guessing that is what the "Plus" means in the name. (Plus top)?

It is undeniably a heavy guitar at 10.2 lbs. But with a wide Levy's leather strap it is quite manageable and well worth the heft.

I can't put the thing down, and it is inspiring new original music that has just been flying out of the amp since I got it.

I gotta get some sleep now, but I keep creeping back into the studio, lol!
