    Hello Everyone,

Noob here. I have been lurking, listening, learning...

I would just like to know a little more about this little beauty I picked up a few weeks ago. I forgot to photo the end of the neck and I have not looked under the hood, so to speak. Inside the neck pocket it says STD-54.

Here are some pictures. Sorry about some of the blurry ones. Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

Looks like staggered pickup poles (= alnico) and alder body, a high end ST-54.....

is that an H serial prefix? If so yes, 1988-89.....

Yes, it's an "H." I paid $475 with the case. Is that about right? Thanks for your information Guitarmageddon!

I would put the H serial more into 88-89, possibly 88. I love these guitars. Yours is very similar to mine, a J serial '89 ST57-70. The staggered pole pieces indicate a higher "number" or quality. Probably has an alder body like mine.

Your pickups and pickup covers look identical to mine (the black guitar in the avatar). Mine has generic alnicos (good ones), alder body, full-sized pots and round switch tip.

I think you paid a good price. These guitars are incredible quality. I love mine very much. Congrats!
