Yeah, sometime I think I must be a bit on the crazy side, but today, I did what I thought would have be unthinkable only a few months ago. What did I do? Traded in my precious Les Paul Gold Top Classic with Bigsby for a brand new American Professional Strat. REALLY tough decision but at the end of the day, there were two big factors that made me pull the trigger: (1) playability --- the neck felt so good in my hands that it felt as an extension of my wrist!!! (2) sound --- I love these pickups, they just do it for me. I guess if there was a third thing --- the burst was beautiful and I loved the look of the maple neck. As much as loved my Les Paul, it also weighted a ton, that too was a deciding factor. It just wasn't as comfortable to play. I am 62 years old, comfort is very important to me, no matter how good it sounds, I just couldn't play it for any extensive periods of time. So, it's official, I am now a Strat and Tele guy as that is all I own for electrics (I guess I should mention I have an Epiphone ES339 which is my lap guitar when I watch TV) So, here the pics I took with my phone, better ones will follow.
