Congrats these things are a steal right now, I have seen 2017 models selling for $900-$1000 great guitars
Congrats on your new guitar!!
And I knew I was a bit unlettered about Eric Johnson.. but my first thoughts when I saw the pictures where... "Heck where is the backplate and bleh 5 springs" , "but nice aftermarket backplate with your initials". Reading a few posts further it hit me....
But, damn, these E strings always look like they want to commit suicide by jumping out of the fretboard...
Congrats, great guitars!
There must be different ones out there, mine's the same distance from the edge of the fretboard as my MIM and Tokai.
Nice looking Strat.......just, uh, be careful standing it on yer bed like that. I would have found a more, let's say, stable platform to prop this up myself.
Please provide links. That is insanely cheap and I will definitely buy another. they are $2K new so $900-$1,000 is a ridiculous deal. I had a guy offer me (cash in his hand) $1,300 for my RW model and I turned him down.
Neither one of mine have that issue, My 2011 Am Std did though.
Hahaha, like living on the edge.
I did the same thing - just saw the body and lower neck and thought, "Bet that's an EJ."
Not only do they look sweet, but the majority sound sweet - even before you plug them in.
Beautiful guitar. Hope you enjoy it for many years to come!
I’m seeing it tonight. I’ll post back for sure.
Go go go go !!
That just happened
I don’t want to take away from @Nickyboy261’s Happy NGD thread so I’ll leave it at that but WoooooooHoooooooo! I am ruined for other guitars. Absolutely ruined and I couldn’t be happier
I take it all back.
I dont like it anymore.
I changed my mind again.
I am back to liking it.
Wow that's a killer guitar! Congrats
I missed to buy the same model from Netherlands
Awesome!! Love the 2 tone burst finish
What are the pickups like?
The EJ pickups are some of the most sought after pickups Fender makes. Folks pay big bucks for them on eBay. Eric worked for a long time with Fender to develop them.
