    Hi all,

I thought to join the site/forum with a NGD.
Had a USA Standard Strat before but sold it a year ago. Now I have some time for playing and got a 60’s classic lacquer for a great price. Guitar seems not to be played or almost not played.
Let me tell you... Mexico is really doing a great job. When I compare with the 2012 USA standard, one is really hard pressed to say it is much better if any. And I hold USA made strats from 2012 to 2015 in a highest esteem.

I will post pictures as soon as I get home.

    Cheers.

    Welcome to the forum @Lazydude.

I have a AM Standard and a MIM Road Worn and the Road Worn is my favourite of them so I can relate to your experience. ;)

    HNGD!

I was reading your post and was getting angry that there weren't any pictures...till I saw you're not home yet. Carry on, and congrats!

Very classic guitar you got there @Lazydude. I'm thinking on getting its cousin (CS 50's Lacquer). How does the finish feel?

Body finish is a tad more “stickier”. Neck is really nice but I would still give a nod to USA Standard for smoothnes. Slight nod but still... having said that, I can imagine that the neck will only get better and better with playing.

Again, I am amazed by the guitar but even more so by how much lines can be blury between MIM and MIA.
Not saying one is better than the other, that is an individual preference and financial aspect but kudos to Mexican factory for sure.

    Happy NGD!

I agree about the MIM guitars right now.. they’re extremely hard to argue against right now. Idk how long it will stay this great.

Play the hell out of her.
