    Today I finished refinishing my Peavey Patriot guitar. This thing has always been a good player and now I’m really pleased with how it looks and feels. She goes nicely with the originally-matching bass, also recently refinished.

    Part of the motivation for this was my wife thought the original finish ugly. She doesn’t like the natural wood look and they were pretty beat up. I was thinking of selling it and she suggested I paint them and keep them, despite having eleven guitars. I’m glad I did and now both this and the refinished matching bass are keepers.
