yeah I looked at them but chose the mullards. I dont think reissue tubes make all that big of a difference, and im not spending an arm and a leg for nos. man they had some preamp tubes that were over $100 apiece.
also...regular gold lion 12ax7's are made in china and are about $26 for one.
the premium GL 12ax7's are made in russia and are around $46 for one.
But you sure do rock a mean guitar !! Greenbacks rock ....
Won't remember and have to get rat faced all over again ? Lmao
Win win ? Hahaha
Yep, they $pensive
Vintage Gold Lions are very good tubes.
Not cheap but man they're sweet
Coming from an audio gear point of view I'd stay away from electro harmonic, I think they're garbage, I throw the out, literally!.
Vintage Mulladrs, Tungsrams are superior in every way. If you can, go for the vintage stuff, big difference. The NEW mullards ain't worth a dime. Vintage Tungsrasms are probably the best, as are old Mullards, Mazdas and Telefunken. Not cheap by you get what you pay for.
No comparison, apples and oranges... My 1 cent.
like i said, i aint spending that much for tubes for this amp. anything i put in it is an upgrade from the chinese tubes and that 70/80 speaker.
