Some more shots
So in the end we fixed the old neck that I’ll make a player out of and bought another 62 neck to match and fitted that one. At least if I ever sell the guitar I get to keep a small piece of it in the old neck. Would be nice on a vintage body player or CS body.

Black being one of the rarest custom colors makes it special to begin with. Now if everything works as it should just set her up and leave as is...
The guitar has come out really well!. Guessing the neck has had a refret at sometime.
The old neck repaired.
Headstock repaired and will make a nice player out of this neck
The time has come sadly
I puzzled....This thread started nearly ten years ago, you've finally got the guitar the way you want it and now you're selling it??
Help us understand
I haven't read the whole thread so i don't know the whole story. Did you buy a new neck to restore it? If so that should be mentioned on reverb. If it's not the original neck then it's a partscaster which is less desirable. I might have misunderstood things though
Will add that, it comes with the original neck as well, which is restored/repaired. Many thanks
I know, I know, not ideal, but there are complications, we are planning on leaving South Africa soon, and as such, all the funds help. SA is not in the best of ways, for those of you in the US who may have seen the news, tough times!
I'm also from South Africa. I've been in france for over 10 years. I left because the wheels were falling off already. Best of luck to you
A two neck Strat
Good on you! Ya it is really sad man. What can we do, but make a plan?
Wow, must be a long story, but I woudn't have touched this amazing worn black 60's refin. We're all different on this earth, that's the true spice of life…
