So, last night I was stepping off the stairs of my deck and somehow twisted my ankle. I went sprawling on the ground in an instant in agony.

I yelled for my wife to help me but, she couldnt hear me. I crawled back up the stairs and for a moment felt like puking.

Now, sitting here, Im thinking its just a twisted ankle. But I cannot believe the agony. I thought it might be broken but, nope.

So, I just thought Id start a thread to show what a wimp I must be.

Anyone else have a painful story?

If it hurt that bad something might be torn. Watch the bruising the next couple of days (it'll get progressively worse). My right leg is still a little swollen from my fall back in April.

Not as bad but funny enough yesterday I picked up something wrong (yea, I know I know) and hurt my left arm, very painful. If it does not start feeling less painful I may end up at the doc for some therapy.

Yeah, when I was a kid I broke my ankle in three places falling off a trampoline. My mother, who is a nurse btw, told me to stop complaining as it was just a twisted ankle. Never had pain like it. I hobbled around for a few days making it worse until they finally relented and brought me to a hospital. Because I was walking around on broken bones, it's still painful to this day as it never healed properly.

A doctor friend of mine that I consulted via Facebook messenger a few years ago said: Is there grinding when you move? Are there sharp shooting pains? I answered no to each. He continued: Put on a couple of pairs of socks, lace your shoe up tight and go about your business.

Ouch, that sucks. Hope it's just something you need to rest and get better.

I have had 2 experiences with kidney stones. They are quite painful. One in my mid 20s that ended pretty quickly (passed it the following day) though it decided to make itself known while I was coming home from the airport...and stuck in bumper to bumper traffic. That was far from fun. Then in my mid 40's, I had another one but this one was more stubborn (a month to go away). The procedure (sonic blasting) made it far worse than it already was before it got better.

Man, just go to urgent care or something, walk in have a professional look at it, instead of a bunch of guitar players advising you over the 'net, let 'em look at it, mash on it and give you some sound advice. In, out, Tylenol...boom, done.
