Neighbourhood is overrun with squirrels lately.

volunteering for a local 'falcon watch', every summer for many years,
this was a young one that had to be taken to rehab...
and was released out on antelope island, here at salt lake city.\

This one's not venomous, but had a few of the natives upset nonetheless.

Outside our bedroom window. Must have been a mouse in that drain pipe. These coyotes have carried off quite a few pets around the neighborhood ... including our Jack Russell a few years ago.

Those coyotes are crafty buggers. Do you have coywolfs too?
No coywolfs (not really any wolves), but coydogs. The coydogs are much less afraid of people.
Bummer................... it's a wild world out there.
We've been dealing with a fairly aggressive pair of yots. I've been thinking about carrying a Ka-bar lately.
That little guy was getting so old, it was about time to have him put down. I really figured he preferred to go out fighting a coyote, at least I like to think that. Probably weren't much of a fight, but bet he got a few barks in. He had to get that old before they got him.
