I saw a brand new Vegas Gold Strat and Tele in GC, today.

All I can say is WOW. While both were amazing, the Tele had a black pickguard which didn't draw out the gold as well as the white pickguard on the Strat.

If the Strat had a 7.25 radius, it would be with me, right now.

You simply have to see Vegas Gold in person.

    That is gorgeous.

The same colour they use on the Dick Dale model.

    Thanks!

It's a bit more yellower than the Dick Dale as they sold it as "Faded Chartreuse"

IMG_4421.jpg IMG_4422.jpg IMG_4423.jpg IMG_4420.jpg IMG_4424.jpg Hi to everyone. Can you help me? I bought this Strat deluxe american 1992 built. It is unplayed and no dings or dongs. i can't find the name of the color. Any one knows? The hangtag says it was tested by John Cruz . Does that mean anything? The body is made of swamp ash. I bought this strat 10 years ago from a fender collector and haven't played it either. Don't have his contact anymore, that's why i need your help. Would you guys now how much i could ask for if i wanted to sell this thing?
Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi Torsten. Beautiful guitar! I dig the translucent black or brown, whatever it is. John Cruz is one of the Fender Custom Shop Master Builders so I'm sure his setup is right on.

Here's the link to the Custom Shop Builders. Scroll down to read a bit about John.

I have a Strat in Mystic Aztec Gold, but that's been reissued here lately the last couple years, so probably ain't as rare as it was just 5 years ago.

I don't see too many Jetstream Blue or Tangerine Strats though.

The prettiest Strat I ever owned, Mystic gold, I sold it to pay some bills....it sold easily and at a great price simply because of it's looks, but it also played great.
