I must admit to relicing an amp. I bought this Blues DeVille a few years ago and the tweed was nasty bad and smelled like a pot farm. I brought it into the house and the house smelled like pot in no time!
So, i took one of those carpet cleaners that have a brush on the bottle, scrubbed it down as much as I could ... let it dry ... then did a thorough lacquer job on it. Instead of 1994 model that it is, it looks like 1954!

Only time amp relicing could makes sense is if the chassis is vintage and you need a repro. cab for whatever reason.
Also, the relic isn't even realistic on this one. Anyone who ever had or saw a real aged Blackface grill know they turn an even brownish tint.
