Looking for thoughts/opinions on the authenticity of this relic strat neck from early 2007.
It came on a relic stamped body with the COA and hang tags. Has anyone seen a relic without the stamp or embossed lettering from this era ? I cant make out the signature, does anyone recognise it ? Do the custom shop strats have the router locating hole like this one ?

Welcome to the forum! We're going to need to see MUCH more than that to authenticate. We need to see headstock back and front, spacing of 12th fret dots, the routing of the body for pickups/electronics, the neck pocket wood......

Do you have a serial number? try typing it into Fender's database here and see if what comes back matches your guitar...

Same number on the neck heel as the neck pocket, right signs also it's quarter sawn maple. It checks off, it's legit.

Not all of them get the same exact stamp and marks. Depends which series it is, how limited and if it's master built or team built.

Mine have bodies with the relic stamp in the pickup cavity rather than under the neckplate, but everything looks pretty legit to me.

Weird that it has an Ash body and it's 58 3 tone burst, but Fender CS does what it wants. Rarely do they make exact period correct replicas.

It looks legit. If all this isn't enough for you , you can email fender CS with these pictures and they will give full details on the guitar and its specs.

I thought that but if you look in the pocket cavity you can see 56. P1090200.JPG

Yeah I saw that as well but still a 56 wouldn't have Ash body. But like I said they do as they wish over at the CS. Mix and pick features as they wish.
