I'm looking to get a decent used reverb pedal to use with a Pro Jr amp. Mainly want an "on all the time at a low level" type reverb. Watching 4 on eBay right now. Not sure how high the bidding will go. Trying to stay under $60. Any opinions on which of these is better? : boss rv-2, boss rv-5, Holy Grail, and mod-tone coliseum reverb. Thx!

I like the Holy Grail. The spring setting is very realistic. And the hall is nice and big, but doesn't go to far into space. I use just enough verb built in my amps to bleed through and the HG is my medium with the Hall set at half. When I want to go into space I use my Mr Black eterna gold. But if I didn't have an amp with reverb the HG would be my always on w/Spring setting. Good luck with the hunt.

It might be worth it to save up a little more and get a Hall of Fame. With the release of the HOF2, the original is now going for $100 new and I imagine they'll be going for between $60 and $80 used.

I'm another Holy Grail user. Awesome verb for the price!

I have a Hardwire with multiple lexicon based verbs that works for me. Got it used and has never let me down.

Seconding this. HoF is where it's at.

The TC Skysurfer is good too, if the sound you want is in its limited options set, but HoF is where it's at.

I concur! The Digitech Hardware RV-7 is an excellent reverb Pedal.

I second the HOF. The mini would be a good option as well. I have a Tone Print that is outstanding and RARELY move it off of that setting anyway. The Hardwire reverb is a GREAT option as well!

I liked the T-Rex Tonebug Reverb pedal. Basic and tuneful..

On my amps without reverb, I use a Boss FRV-1.

I am the OP. I ended getting a Mod-Tone Coliseum reverb on ebay for cheap. Meh. Probably will dump it and get something else. Gotta be used under $50. I'll keep looking. Maybe I'll try that Biyang Tri-Reverb that several people have mentioned.

Which Tone Print is it, or did you create it yourself? Looking for a new one to check out.

The two that I use most of the time are Johnny Hilands "neon blues" and Guthrie Govan's "Louisville toneprint. Albert Lee's and Robben Ford's are pretty good as well! Definitely worth checking out.

Another HoF user here. I actually have the HoF2 and if you don't need the mash button feature (it's cool but I never use it), you should be able to find a used 1st version in your budget.
