... and I see you just mentioned Tyler Arboretum. Used to travel down that way frequently. Are you sure you don't mind someone who has not played with anyone in a long time? My repertoire is limited ...

Absolutely!!! When we do it you’re welcome. And we’ll jam and have a great time.

I’ve mostly taken 30 years off and I was nothing to write home about before that. And since I’ve been playing again for the last couple years, I basically haven’t played with anyone else. I’m not sure whether I suck or whether I’m just the most limited player on earth, but I’ll come and see if I have anything to contribute. And if I don’t, I’ll sit out and just enjoy listening. But in a past life, playing music with other folks was an enormous buzz, so I’m guessing it should be again... Hey, no harm in giving it a shot...

Not too far off of where I am at. I do know that a jam or two can be a spark to ignite something better from years passed. I'm 57 btw.

I've done a couple of internet collaborations with a guy in MI on my acoustics. He is a much better musician than I am and was kind enough to add some really great keyboards to my acoustic playing.

I think we’re gonna have a heck of a lineup. @StratoMutt it should be a great time. :)

When and where? I really need something to get me to play more effectively.

Will there be a mic'd PA? I cannot sing for sh!t, but play a fine unplugged 12 string acoustic for thick chords.

I can provide recorded examples of some fairly good acoustic stuff.

In years past I have shown up to 'jam sessions' which turned out to be mainly 'frustration sessions'.

I'll admit to actually not sucking, but not adept at following along with others unless it is a semi familiar song.

Hopefully Nate D has listened to the link I provided: https://1drv.ms/u/s!Ap5QYpbZPsElgpg0denYQXSxc0F1Xg

I have! I dig your playing.

As far as technical stuff we can work that out as we firm something up. We’ll get a pa and what not going. I’m just trying to germinate the idea

Consider me an interested seed. :)

~43 years of experience, looking for a reason to continue the effort to learn and play...

I have a few recordings to illustrate where I am at now.

That works! Works rather well, I think. I bookmarked that little ditty. I suggest we rock out on that for a bit to start.

Just do it! The Euroguestocks are a blast - no skill required, no judgement made.

I'd join you if the date, travel and budget would allow, but I'm going to Paris in June. I'll watch this thread.
