I also have a few sets of Rose pups, some custom made by Ken, and some of his stock models, like the Robusta's. Pretty tough to beat the quality, and price.:thumbd::D

I'm thinking of pairing a Bourbon neck pickup in my Tele with the SD Antiquity 55 that's already in the bridge. Any opinions on whether to get a covered pickup or one without. Is there a big difference in the sound with and without?

I have a set of robustas that he wound with A2 magnets, I subsequently pushed the poles down because I hate staggered....best sounding pickups I own. I have a set of $300 lollars and these $70 rose slightly edge them out. Anybody would be silly to spend more on pickups, I know I never will again.

would they do a "modern" stagger if you asked? I know they provide staggered or flat already.

Not sure but I believe you can get them in any radius you want. When I got mine the buff beauty only came in flat pole if I remember correctly. I would recommend e mailing Ken and asking him, he was very good about getting back to me.

Wow I love my Rose PUs I recommend them highly. I emailed ken back and forth to do my custom set and he is awesome. I changed my mind twice and he was so cool about it heh. I had him do a Gilmour strat setup with a RWRP bridge.

Robustas in neck and mid and RWRP Buff beauty at bridge.

Cool fact- all the PUs are names after species of roses.

Yes he will do any stagger you want. At least he did last year. :)

Which Lollars do you have? I’ve never heard of these pickups and I’m curious. I’ve got a set of Lollar Blondes that are awesome.

Dirty blondes. Not saying they are bad, but waaaaay overpriced.especially considering the rose set I have was around 70 bucks, and definitely sound a tiny bit better.

When you guys ordered how long before you received them. Just curious. Their website says 1 month build time right now.

I know this is a old thread but...

"I subsequently pushed the poles down because I hate staggered"...

I have a set where the neck and middle are staggered and the Buff Beauty is flat. I want to make the N & M flat. How did you do it without damaging the pickup?

Rose pickups are fantastic - and Ken REALLY knows his stuff! Hit him up on Squier-Talk, he is an active member there and can help you choose the right neck pickup via PM (@Ken Rose). He is super-cool
