    ... hit or miss?

I'm considering a Squier Classic Vibe Stratocaster in Sherwood Green. I always said I'd never buy a green guitar but am strangely attracted to it. My worry is that there will be others like me who in general discount greens for what ever reason and should I ever want to move it on not be able to!

I know it is probably a really shallow perspective... likely it says a lot about me: )

It's the matching painted headstock face a lot of people don't like.....but I love them!

The colour itself is desirable....it's also going to eventually not be offered anymore.....

Keep in mind if you buy new though the most you can ever sell it for is about 60% of original retail price

Cheers! They are excellent quality guitars with fabulous necks and incredible pickups....

Yeah, that pretty much sums up my opinion, too.

Definitely a hit - go for it!

One of the most loved colors, I'd say, just from the reaction around here.

But honestly, short of a reliced Antigua Burst HH with matching headstock, there's no guitar that wouldn't find anything but love around here, so with us, you're safe whichever way you go.

I had one I got cheap and it sold on reverb 5 hours after I listed it for $80 more than I paid for it. Not sure if that is typical or I just got lucky to sell it so fast.

Well, this thread is encouraging. I've been trying to decide between Fiesta Red or Sherwood Green for my Jazzmaster build. I really love both....

I don't like it very much... But it's somehow appealing... I once missed a swg Hot Rod Strat which sounded sweeeeet... The colour put me off. Not many swg stratocasters around by the way.

That painted headstock with a maple fretboard is hideous. Otherwise, Sherwood Green looks great.

I like it. The green that I love, however, is that 7-Up green that some of the Clapton Strats had. I wish that was more widely available.

The deal breaker for me is the maple neck combined with painted headstock...I'd prefer a rosewood fretboard without painted headstock.Too bad because they are nice guitars. But you know what they say about opinions...

With my Jazzmaster build, it' going to be (probably) Sherwood Green with a flame maple neck and rosewood fretboard which isn't going to be painted. For some reason, painted headstocks have never appealed to me...

I love green guitars...and I love that color. Here are some that I've owned...only have the last one now.

Get it! One of the best strat colors, I think. Especially with a mint pickguard!

The Squier CV Sherwood Green is anything but. It's some sort of turquoise. This looks nothing like Ecosse's guitar.

Get it! SWG is great. I had one for a long time and I kind of miss her.
