After owning this guitar for the past 20 years, I recently discovered that I am not a “STRAT GUY.”

For the past few years, I’ve been drawn to short scale humbucker guitars.

I have also discovered that I need a bass guitar, so a trade seemed like a good idea.

So, I’m looking to trade for a MIM Fender Standard P Bass, or an Ibanez TBM300, or Sterling SUB Bass.

4 string only. I will also consider all other offers.

Will also sell for $400 shipped via PP.

So, below are the specs on this, near 30 yearold, Japanese Fender Strat.

She was born in either 1988/89, the serialnumber said so.

    Color – Olympic Blue

    Body – Alder

    Neck/Fretboard – Maple/Maple

Pickups – Previous owner installed Fender Texas Specials in the neck and mid positions. He also altered the guitar to accept a full size humbucker in the bridge position. I didn’t like it, so I put on a new pickguard and added a Seymore Duncan Li’l Pearley Gates. Sounds much better now.

The bridge, tuners, and other metal hardware are all original.

There are a few small dings in various places. There is also one spot where there is a larger chip of paint missing. All from honest wear for over 30 years. I also have the original volume and tone knobs that go with it. Strap and hard shell case included.

Well, enough of that, feel free to view the pictures below.

    More pics available upon request.

Thanks. It’s a good player. I’m just not into single coils any more.
