    I think it can be easier to "improve" on an original if you change the whole feel of the song rather than just doing a slavish copy. So although this was good....



    this version adds something quite different.



    not least the haunting fretless bass of Pino Paladino

    The CCR version of ‘I put a spell on you’ is much better than the original by Screamin’ Jay Hawkins.

    They didn’t call him Screamin’ for nothing...
